Injuries and certain medical conditions can cause bleeding. This can induce anxiety and fear, but the bleeding has a healing purpose. Still, you need to understand how to treat common bleeding episodes, such as cuts and nosebleeds, and when to seek medical help. Before beginning treatment for an injury, it is best to determine its severity as best you can. The following steps will help you manage a bleeding emergency.:-
1.Place a sterile bandage or clean cloth on the wound. Press the bandage firmly with your palm to control bleeding. Apply constant pressure until the bleeding stops. Maintain pressure by binding the wound with a thick bandage or a piece of clean cloth.
2.Take the cleanest thread-count cotton tea towels from your kitchen and unfold them so that the cleanest part is back in the wound. You should avoid fuzzy tea towels because they have a larger surface area and are more susceptible to bacteria and stick to the wound as it heals.
3.Put direct pressure on the wound, if possible with a sterile bandage or a clean, non-fluffy cloth, to stop the bleeding. If you don’t have a bandage, you can ask them to do it themselves. The wound is covered with the victim’s clothing.
